Scarlet Johansson & Olivia Wilde’s gown’s are my personal top favorites at the Golden Globe tonight. Love the sparkly sequins in both the black and the pearl. In general, I personally thought many of the stars hair styles were not well thought out. Catherine-Zeta Jones & Angelina Jolie always have their hair looking gorgeous.

Many women have their hair style cut in layers and style it with a spiky look. Great for everyday, but not the best choice with a gorgeous flowing gown.   Just my opinion…just think that the Globe, the SAG & Academy Award nights are nights where we really love seeing the stars looking elegant, sexy & there very best!

There were some beautiful gowns at the Golden Globe Awards this year–Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie looked stunning along with Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas. These are two couples that I look forward to seeing at these award shows! Jennifer Lopez was one of my personal favorites in all white. I loved the neckline.

Recently I have been talking with couples who have just gotten engaged and are planning their Wedding Ceremony & Reception date a few months out. Many of these couples are planning to invite 35-60 guests and so a space other than the Resort is desirable.

If you are planning for a smaller guest list or larger,  and want an out-of-this-world location in the Southern Cal area,  The Location Connection, Darian Mathias is a great location resource.

Thank you to a very sweet couple!

What a lovely day to have a site visit at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Orange County, CA. Erin Killingsworth, Catering Conferences and Services Manager met with me today for my site visit. After walking the property, Erin invited me to come back later that day to watch the Ceremony from afar. After spending some of my Sunday in the Corona Del Mar area I did go back to Pelican Hill around 5ish–first I sat on the patio to take in the view while eating some olives…and then enjoyed talking with a lovely  family who are from my birth state. 5:40PM the Ceremony got under way and I was able to only get a very distant glimpse. The view really is breathtaking—the green, the ocean blues, and of course the architecture of Pelican Hill itself–This is a special Wedding venue. I also love that the property only books one Wedding on any given day. Their Ceremony over-looks the ocean on the hilltop and  is very private in that the Resort guests are very far away and The Resort closes off any access to Wedding areas.

Sunday, March 28th was a superb weather day to walk around Corona Del Mar and take in the view along Ocean and also pop into a few of my favorite shops. Bliss Home Design being one of my absolute favorites! This shop is so packed full of wonderful ideas of how to put home elements together in a very lush and elegant way–The style of Bliss Home Design is California elegant— shabby sheik. Ohara Davies-Gaetano, Head of Design has created many lovely home vignettes:) Some inspire you to have a dinner party next week and others to re-do your own boudoir.

Corrie Bennett, an Interior Designer who works at Bliss Home Design, is also very talented! I hope you enjoy the photos I took while in the shop and visit them soon!

Loving fashion, I look forward Oscar’s Red Carpet…through-out the years I’ve seen the Stars look beautiful in the gowns their stylist or favorite designer chose for them to wear. I remember one year Sharon Stone wore a gorgeous very old-hollywood style white or pearl white charmeuse dress adorned with the very best, probably Harry Winston jewels….Halle Barry usually chooses a very chiffony feminine gown with a lot of movement and extremely becoming on her.

Demi Moore

This year I was very dissappointed in what I saw on the Red Carpet…of course, often there are many women in gorgeous gowns that we never get to see. This year my favorite of all was worn by the trophy girl—She was wearing a pearl charmeuse with black lace on the bodice to below the knees…I tried to find a photo to share, but to no avail.

I did love Demi Moore’s gown….the back of Jessica Parker’s gown and the train on Sandra Bullock’s. The pictures are some of the gown’s I loved from the 2009 Oscars.
